Educational Experience in Canada

York English Language Institute:

Through the intuition’s course, I learned to practice academic English through writing and speaking. It was one of the most vital experiences that helped me to blend in the university cope with its system. They helped me to develop several skills like critical thinking. It means that judgments should be taken reasonably and logically; questioning the facts and arguments by studying more about them is the key to being a critical thinker.  In that courses, I also learned to write a research paper that is 3-5 pages long. The paper is based on research conducted on the specific topic. I learned to use to at least 3 sources in order to support an idea; this will help producing and reliable paper. I also learned that referencing is vital because it protects the issuer’s effort and recognizes their contribution.

Overall, I used those acquired skills afterward during the study at Lassonde School of Engineering, especially when writing technical reports.

Lassonde School of Engineering, York University:

After completing my English Proficiency, I joined Lassonde in September 2016. I’m now going to the third year. The expected graduation year is 2021. I grew a lot in the last two years, and my passion for civil engineering increases as I progress in Lassonde.

There are several courses I took which orient me towards becoming an engineer. I will list the courses that showcase my progress: Engineering Courses at Lassonde School of Engineering.
