My Goals

My bigger picture’s goal is to obtain lots of experiences by working and researching in the civil engineering field before graduating and exposing my self to the real world. I want to be knowledgeable enough and ready before taking my first job as a civil engineer. My life goal is to try and learn from new experiences whenever I get the chance to do so. In addition, I want to make difference in the world; I want people to remember me as a good person and a good civil engineer who contributed to benefit the community.

I also have some specific goals that I want to achieve soon. Over the next few years, I will work on reaching those goals by working towards it. My goals are:

1- I will develop the ability to adapt and embrace the changes in my learning style.

2- I will develop the ability to handle stress by improving my time management skill.

3- I will develop the ability to reason more about given problem and become an independent thinker when solving a problem.

4- I improve the ability to present an effective presentation using correct tools and graphs on power point.

5- I will practice my oral communication and public speaking skills.

I will work hard towards achieving these goals in order to become a better learner and a better worker. I will update my progress and reflections in my e-portfolio. I’m feeling excited to write down those advancements very soon.
